
Cara Cline Price
Is both a flutist and pianist based in Hagerstown, Maryland.
She is available for special events throughout the four-state region.
Cara received her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, Virginia, where she studied flute with the Maryland Symphony Orchestra's former principal flutist, Frances Lapp-Averitt. She has also received flute instruction from Sarah Cougart Malton and Jennifer Marlowe. Her keyboard instructors have included Aileen Wagner, Elizabeth Caluda, Cenira Schreiber, Elizabeth Temple and Stephen Cooksey (organ).
While at Shenandoah University Cara earned a Certificate in Performance in flute and completed the Dual Licensure program within the Music Education Department.
She gave numerous recitals and served as director and performer for many extra-curricular recitals, including two American Cancer
Society benefit recitals and annual Sigma Alpha Iota and Kappa Kappa Psi recitals.
Cara was also a competitor in the Conservatory's Annual Student Soloist Concerto Competition Final Round for two years.
She was a leading member of numerous Shenandoah University ensembles, including the Symphony Orchestra and the Wind Ensemble, the latter of which she performed with at Carnegie Hall.
Cara has performed as primary musician or accompanist for many special events, including for many years at the Blue Ridge Community College Commencement Exercises (in Weyers Cave, Virginia), Clear Spring High School Baccalaureate and Commencement Exercises (Clear Spring, Maryland), as accompanist for many Shenandoah Conservatory soloists, and in numerous weddings.
Cara is currently the Assistant Music Director for Shenandoah Farms Baptist Church in Front Royal, Virginia, where she regularly plays organ, flute, and piano and directs the children's choir.
She is also the owner and operator of Cline Price Flute & Piano Studio in her home.
