Seniors Country Western Party ideas for
Entertainers and Activity personnel
in Nursing Homes - Assisted Living - Independent Living Communities - Rehab facilities, at home, etc.
Country and Western entertainment.
Western or Country and Western music has changed a bit since "The Good Old Days", or so I'm told by the oldest of residents.
They do love the Hank Williams, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans stuff as well as Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline and Johnny Cash. Gene Autry was a favorite of the times as well as the Sons of the Pioneers. Some modern favorites are good to use as well.
If you want to have a good party then use some cowboy hats for the residents.
A western theme cake and maybe a six shooter quick draw contest between a few staff would be fun if you have the props.. Music and props and interactivity by the staff make the party.
Of course you invite all of the residents and maybe families as well.

Many old western songs are very well known so you can get a great sing-a-long going.
A nice touch is using western theme napkins and plates and or table cloths.
I like the party favors and props because they really give it a special touch.
This works well with residents who are in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, independent living facilities, who have dementia and Alzheimer's, as well as seniors who live at home.
I like to call my country western show "Songs Of The Old West".
