I have been doing a one-man band gig at the Old Port Yacht Club for 14 years. I did the musician thing, Palm Beach cocktail parties (I play very good cocktail tinkle), Big band on reeds or keyboards, shows at the breakers and other places.
I also write and have written arrangements for most of the show singers around (big band - orchestral).
I have sold my special Free Midifiles on the internet for years and I use them with mp3's on solo gigs. I have a Korg PA800 -a top-of-the-line Arrangers keyboard that is the best I've ever seen.
I do the ultimate one-man-band gig because I'm so damn old I know most of the tunes you will ever need for a gig. I also do the standard rock and line dance stuff. A lot of James Taylor - Billie Joel and some Lynard. I also, as part of the gig, do a tribute to Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw - I am a very good clarinetist (red clarinet) and I love latin and funk, Lou Rawls and Barry White.

I also add people when the client wants more. If you book me on a gig, there is no one who does all the things I do. I sing all the good Sinatra tunes and I have all the original arrangements. |
